The Architecture of Transformation

A free eight-part video series.

Transformation has a shape. Once you can see it, you can move through it deliberately.

This series is the foundational inquiry of Threshold Work, the approach I use with clients at threshold moments in their lives, offered here in full. Across eight sessions, it maps what transformation involves: what has been running your choices, what it would mean to live from your own values, where resistance lives, and what becomes possible when the work takes hold.

SESSION OVERVIEW
01 - Recognizing Your Orientation
Before anything can change, you need to see clearly how you are currently operating. Not how you think you operate, or how you'd like to. This session introduces the concept of orientation, the underlying stance from which you are living your life, and begins the process of making it visible.
02 - Connecting Orientation to Consequences
Your orientation is not abstract. It is producing your life: your decisions, your relationships, your sense of yourself. This session traces the direct line between how you are oriented and what that is actually costing you.
03 - Examining What You Value
Most people can list their values. Far fewer have examined whether those values are genuinely theirs. This session creates the conditions for an honest look at what is actually driving you, beneath the stated priorities and the well-rehearsed answers.
04 - The "Is This Mine?" Inventory
Much of what we pursue, protect, and organize our lives around was handed to us, by family, by culture, by the version of success we were told to want. This session works through the question at the center of this work: Is this actually mine?
05 - Reorientation
Having seen your current orientation clearly, and understood what it has cost you, this session turns toward the question of what a different way of living would actually look like. Not as an idea, but as a concrete and livable reality.
06 - What Would Living Authentically Threaten?
This is where most people stop. Authentic living is not only unfamiliar; it asks you to let go of things that have defined you. This session examines what genuine reorientation would put at risk, and why that is precisely where the work matters most.
07 - Freedom as a Lived Experience
Rousseau wrote that man is born free, and everywhere he is in chains. This session treats those chains as internal: the patterns, the conditioning, the roles you have inhabited. A short guided practice to experience what lies beneath them.
08 - The Life That Becomes Possible
A guided practice that carries the ground of presence from the previous session forward, into the life that becomes possible when you are living from it.

The Examined Life

Transformation begins with honest questions. This written inquiry workbook holds them, drawn directly from my Threshold Work with clients. A companion to The Architecture of Transformation series, or a complete inquiry in its own right.

Most of what shapes our choices goes unexamined: the assumptions we work from, the priorities we inherited, the reasons we give ourselves. Writing brings them into view. And what you can see, you can choose.

The work is private and self-paced. It asks for the willingness to look honestly, and the courage to act on what you find. The aim is a life with no distance between who you are and how you live.

The Deliberate Mind

A structured, self-paced video program for those ready to work at the level of thought. Currently in development.

Deliberate living begins with deliberate thinking. This program starts there. Details to follow.

A note on this work

The work presented here involves honest self-examination, the kind that can surface things that have been buried for a long time. That is, in most circumstances, exactly the point. But this work assumes a foundation of psychological stability. If you are currently in acute crisis or experiencing significant mental health difficulties, I would encourage you to seek appropriate clinical support before engaging with this material. The work will still be here when you are ready.
